Rainbow Obsidian is formed by quickly cooled lava with iridescence caused by inclusions of magnetite nanoparticles. This stone appears black in low light while circular pools of green iridescence become visible in bright light. It is a protective, grounding and centering stone associated with the root chakra.

Absolutely beautiful ring. The stone is fascinating, with green and purple colors in the light. The design is truly imaginative with tiny silver beads along one side, two tiny beads at the bottom. This craftsmanship is just wonderful.
