Natural ruby earrings are simple, natural, and beautiful! July Birthstone.
1.5" long with round earwires and 1.25" with lever-back (closable) earwires.
Did you know that rubies are more rare than other sapphires? Sapphires come in a rainbow of colors and, along with rubies, belong to the Corundum species of minerals. (The only crystal harder than corundum is diamond). Pure corundum is colorless; the presence of trace elements is responsible for the different colors. Aluminum oxide and chrome creates red corundum...aka rubies!
